There is an entry door directly in to the show hall, located in the
Kent Commons back parking lot.
Entrants must use this entry as the Kent Commons does not
allow vendors (showers) to bring items through the main entrance
doors.
NO Pets (no dogs, cats, birds, goats, etc.) are allowed in the
building. |

Entry Fees: |
|
$55 unlimited - Fee entitles each shower to a full six foot
tableTables will be provided and assigned; each person will have a
full 6-foot table. If you
wish to be located next to someone in particular, please state so on
your entry form and we will do our best to accommodate your request. |

Extra table fees: |
|
Fee for an additional show table, or sale table is $30 per six
foot table.

Sponsorships: |
|
Available at $1/class, $5/section and $10/division. Sponsors receive
mention in show program and at the show, plus the show holder’s
undying gratitude! |

Awards: |
|
Classes placed first through fifth. Paper flat ribbons will be given
to first and second place models, with laminated flats for third
through fifth places. Please
leave the laminated flats on the table; if a shower wishes to have a
paper ribbon, s/he may request one at the head table.
Commercial rosettes will be awarded to champions and
reserves. |

NAMHSA: |
|
Northwest Congress will be applying for membership in the North
American Model Horse Showers Association. If approved, all first and
second place models in eligible classes will receive a ticket to
attend either North American Nationals 2012 or 2013. |

Tags/Horse list |
|
Tags are required for all models shown. Please use white string tags
with the number and breed of your model.
Region 1 Tag Saver Program numbers may be used.
You must provide a list of your show models including: Tag
Number, Horse Name, Finish (OF or CM) and Breed. |

Class Limits: |
|
Class limits are two models per performance class and four models
per halter class except no class limit in the OF China, CM Glaze, OF
Hartland and Advanced CM divisions. You may, however, register as
many models as you wish. |

Judging Criteria: |
|
Breed Classes:
Will be judged for appropriate breed specific
characteristics, anatomy, biomechanics and conformation.
Collectability Classes:
Will be judged on rarity, age, condition, and desirability.
DOCUMENTATION IS
MANDATORY TO ENTER A COLLECTIBILITY CLASS.
Workmanship Classes:
Will be judged on technique, color selection, finish work and
detailing.

Rules: |
|
*Alcohol is not allowed in the show hall at any time, per the Kent
Commons rules. Violators will be asked to leave and may forfeit all
show fees and right to participate in the show.
*All normal
show rules apply: have fun, be a good sport, respect the judges,
don’t touch models unless given permission.
*Please limit the
size of documentation for breed or collectability to no larger than
an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. |

Show Schedule: |
|
Hall opens to showers both days at 8:30 AM, with judging to begin at
9:30 AM. Show ends at 6 PM on both days.
The intent is for NWC to be a fast-paced show.
DO NOT ENTER THE HALL BEFORE
8:30 AM.
Lunch break is from Noon – 1 pm.
Judging will begin after lunch promptly at 1 pm.
Please see the included map for locations of nearby
places to eat./Performance divisions will allow a ten minute break
in between classes. |
