In keeping with the clean simple lines of Asian architecture I first decided upon the table shape and then the pedestal design. I used the repeating elements in the bed and bookcase that are found in a shoji screen and used them in creating the pedestal base.

I wanted a dark brown to black natural color in the wood, and after much research I selected Oregon Black Walnut also know as Claro Walnut. The tabletop is made from twelve book-matched squares to form three medallions. It's framed with Black Walnut with Ebony inlay.

The Walnut Dining Chairs are made from a single log and the seats are upholstered with a pattered micro-fiber fabric. The seat blanks can be switched out to accommodate the decor in your home.

The table's dimension is height 30 inches, width 42 inches, and length 100 inches which can seat 8 comfortably. The chair's overall dimensions are height 39 ¼ inches, width 18 ½ inches, and depth 18 inches.
