Wood & Materials: Top center is ebony four quarter book match with satin wood laced between the squares. Legs ebonized maple and the top frame and cross members are Makore with ebony inlay. The apron is Makore with ebony beading. Unusual Techniques & Hardware:The table tops are just over one inch thick to give it a heavier look that flows well with the whole design. My goal in the design were tables that command a presence but do not over power the room. I accomplished this with the thicker top, legs, and apron with beading. The inlay provides the additional touch of elegance and contrast. Size:Height: 19", Length: 48", Width: 30" This second table is made with Satinwood in the center, Cherry, and with mahogany inlay. |
