This HDTV stand is supporting a 62" DLP rear projection TV.  

Directly below the TV is the center speaker and remote control receiver that repeats the  frequencies to the components that are located behind the doors.

The center doors open to reveal a 33 1/4" by 11 7/8" cavity to store the components.  The back of this area is open to allow air flow and easy access.

The side doors open and can be used for storage.
