Joinery:

Mortise and tenon joinery and floating panels with inlay.

Wood & Materials:

The major wood is cherry dyed and stained with Madrona burl inlay on the legs. The diamonds are Birdseye maple framed with solid ebony. The rectangles are Madrona burl framed with solid ebony.

Unusual Techniques & Hardware:

The legs are solid cherry with inlay, and the panels are cherry veneer. I attached the diamonds and rectangles to the surface to reveal a 3D look. These panels on framed with solid ebony which has the same profile as the frame surrounding the panels for the head and food board.
