This piece was in the "Contemporary Influences" Directory's show at the NW Fine Woodworking Gallery located in Seattle, WA.

Joinery:

Joints are spline-and-groove where solid walnut meets the Claro walnut, and tongue-and-groove for the doors. The drawers are half-blind dovetail for the front and through dovetail for rear.

Wood & Materials:

Sides are Claro Walnut venee.  Panels are White Ash Burl, front is Eastern Walnut, handles are Ebony, and accent trim (difficult to see in picture) is Wenge wood.

Unusual Techniques & Hardware:

I will let the wood speak for itself. The grain and burl create an unusual piece.
