Celebrating the Spirit
of Equus www.mink-studios. com ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ Vintage Class Sponsorship Classes ~Class 1: 60s & 70s ~Class 2: 80s ~Class 3: 90-97 Eligibility ~Any custom piece completed during the respective time frame is eligible for that class. However, if the year of a piece’s creation is unknown, a “best guess” will suffice. ~The piece may be in any condition, whether mint or damaged, and should be as close to the original state/intent as possible. In fact, the closer to the original condition, the better, regardless of wear or damage. ~Proxy
showing for these vintage classes is at the discretion of the host. ~Show
hosts are welcomed to enter this class and participate in the voting. ~The
10-year measure will creep up with each passing year. ~Only
shows in the US are eligible for sponsorship due to shipping logistics. Basics ~The
classes can be combined as needed, due to lack of entries. ~The
classes are to be judged by People's Choice, with voting to occur during a
time period at the host's discretion during the show. ~The
show host is asked to designate a vote tallier to present the awards. ~It’s
encouraged that a description of the piece’s history be provided alongside
the entry. Please keep this summation concise, as to fit on one side of a
sheet of paper (maximum) and preferably on one side of a 3x5 card. ~Tagging
entries is at the discretion of the host. Note:
It's suggested that the classes take place at a time and location that's
conducive for maximum voter turnout and participation. Voting
~People
shall use their own criteria for voting, keeping in mind the context and
goal of the vintage classes. For example, such criteria can be
"coolness", inspiration, nostalgia, rarity, innovation, historic
value, etc. ~Anyone
present at the show at the time the classes are held may vote. ~Each
person has five votes per class, to allot at his/her discretion. This means
a voter may use all votes on one piece per class or one-four votes per piece
per class. ~The
host may run the voting process by any means deemed fair and reasonable, at
his/her discretion. ~At
the end of voting, the tallier shall count the votes per piece and place the
awards. ~In
the case of a tie, the show host shall designate a person to be the
tie-breaker, at his/her discretion. Awards
~Each
class shall have a set of exclusive blank resin medallions created
specifically for this purpose, which are provided to the show host. ~First
place receives the large Sun medallion and placings 2nd and 3rd receive the
smaller Flower medallion.
